ECE domain Account Removal and Archival PolicyThis is the account removal and archival policy for all user accounts on the Electrical and Computer Engineering department Windows systems, also known as ECE accounts. Accounts are created for students who are enrolled in a class that requires access to an ECE lab computer. All ECE computers require an individual username and password. No generic accounts will be used. User storage space (an "X drive") will be created only for those students who work in a lab that requires such storage. The purpose of this storage is to complete and turn in lab and homework assignments. Graduate teaching assistants and faculty have access to this storage. This storage is not backed up. Lab computer disk drives are not backed up. The user should archive any important data. Student accounts expire on the last day of final exams and are deleted the following week.
